Power Crisis & Our Liability

Power crisis is the biggest problem at this moment all over the world. That is the demand for energy is higher than the available supply. It has always known that the world's energy supply was limited and someday would run out. Still now we are taking our necessary energy supplies from the non renewable sources. In spite of knowing this, we still fail to take the steps necessary to avoid the world power crisis. We should remember about the world-wide gas shortage in the decade of eighty or the more recent hike in Oil costs in the 90's and more recent in the last few years. Oil prices have been quickly rising over the past twenty years because of the ever increasing demand and slowly decreasing supply of non-renewable sources.
It has been estimated that we have already used 50% of our available non-renewable energy source, e.g. fossil fuel, and at the current rate of consumption of the fuel will run out in the next 30 - 35 years. This only if our current rate of consumption does not increase. However is it possible to keep the consumption rate constant? I believe we all know the answer, every day the rate of consumption increases, so in our lifetime we will see our fuel supply exhausted. If we continue on our present path, we have to pay for our ignorance tremendously. We have to think, do we really want to keep our future in the dark. If the answer is no, then we have to take the necessary steps to conserve power (Energy). We must try to minimize the use of oil, electricity, gas, and even coal It is up to each individual to try to spread awareness of our limited energy supplies and to begin doing the little things to conserve it. We could turn off lights that are not in use, car pool whenever we can. We may not be able to end the world rower crisis but if everyone minimizes their power usage on a daily basis it will go a long way in conserving what is left.
